TMICHA is the charity association of the Jewish community Vienna for the support of those in need. The association was founded in 2009 and has since been listed by the Ministry of Finance on the list of tax deductible enterprises. We consider it our duty to support children and young people in need, as well as their families. Older citizens and people that have come into need due to illness are supported by us, too.

TMICHA is in close cooperation with the ESRA association as well as the social committee of the Jewish Community Vienna.

How do we help? Whoever helps fast, helps double! Together with the ESRA association, the social committee of the Jewish Community files requests for payment of funds to TMICHA. These are paid out either directly to those in need for short-term aid or via ESRA. The social workers of ESRA support those in need in all concerns and problems with the aid to help themselves always coming first. It is our common goal to look after people who have ended up in an emergency situation as best as possible, giving them support at the same time as well, and see to it that they again find their way back into an independent life.
